Every pixel in a photograph carries data. The Pictometric series turns that data into design — taking the colors of the travel poster and turning them into a proportional graphic unique to that place.
On the front: the France Pictometric — a visual fingerprint built from the dark warm grey of the iron latticework against the pale silver-blue of a Parisian sky, the deep gold of the tower’s illumination against the night, and the soft glow of the city lights below. On the back: the full Eiffel Tower Paris vintage travel poster from The Postcards Collection — Paris, France — Built for a World’s Fair and Somehow Never Left.
On the sleeve: the coordinates of the Eiffel Tower — 48.85829° N, 2.29450° E — marking the spot where the photograph behind this poster was taken. That original photograph is also available separately as a fine art print.
Inside the neck: a custom Paris postage stamp, the quiet detail that ties every piece in The Postcards Collection back to the place that inspired it.
