Every pixel in a photograph carries data. The Pictometric series turns that data into design — taking the colors of the travel poster and turning them into a proportional graphic unique to that place.
On the front: the Alaska Pictometric — a visual fingerprint built from the deep teal of the Mendenhall Glacier ice against the warm gold of the surrounding peaks at sunset, and the dark forest green of the spruce stands below. On the back: the full Mendenhall Glacier vintage travel poster from The Postcards Collection — Juneau, Alaska — Nature’s Masterpiece.
On the sleeve: the coordinates of Mendenhall Glacier — 58.44089° N, 134.54562° W — marking the spot where the photograph behind this poster was taken. That original photograph is also available separately as a fine art print.
Inside the neck: a custom Juneau postage stamp, the quiet detail that ties every piece in The Postcards Collection back to the place that inspired it.
