More heirloom than photoshoot
A family session with me is a guided hour — or a quick 30 minutes, your call — built around natural interaction instead of rigid poses. I direct the whole time, so nobody has to know what to do with their hands. Kids get to be kids. You get images that still feel like your family in ten years, not like a trend that aged badly.
No experience required, and no pressure to perform. That’s my job, not yours.

The Update

The quick one. Thirty minutes, one location, one setup — enough to refresh the holiday card or mark a birthday without turning it into a whole afternoon.

The practical stuff, so you can plan with confidence.
Which session should I book?
Count heads — that’s the whole answer. Up to 5 is The Update, 5–15 is The Signature, and more than 15 is The Reunion. Group size is the only thing that decides it, so there’s no per-person maths and nothing to work out at the end. If you’re sitting right on a boundary, or you have a specific vision in mind, send an inquiry and I’ll tell you straight which one fits.
Where do sessions take place?
Most sessions are outdoors in the Salt Lake City metropolitan area, and anywhere within 60 miles of West Valley City is included in your session price — that covers Salt Lake County, most of Davis and Utah County, Ogden and Park City. Locations further out, like the Bonneville Salt Flats, carry a flat $100 travel fee. Destination sessions that need an overnight — southern Utah, for example — are quoted individually. What should we wear?
You will receive a simple styling guide. In general, choose coordinated neutrals and textures, avoid large logos, and prioritize comfort and movement.
How long is a session?
The Update runs 30 minutes. The Signature is planned for 45–90 and The Reunion for 60–120 — depending on group size, location, and the pace that keeps kids comfortable. Bigger groups need more of that time, not less.
Do you photograph extended families?
Yes — that’s exactly what The Reunion is built for. Over 15 people and it’s the right session, and the extra time exists for a reason: a big group isn’t one photo, it’s the full group, then each household, then the grandparents with the grandkids, then the siblings. Under 15, multi-generational groups sit comfortably on The Signature. Either way I’ll build a shot list that balances the big group with the smaller combinations and the candids in between.
What if our final headcount changes?
Tell me and we’ll move you. If your numbers land in a different tier than the one you booked, I’ll switch the package and reissue the invoice before anything is due — up or down. I’d rather adjust it in advance than have you find a different number later.
When will we receive our images?
Typical turnaround is 2–3 weeks. Rush delivery may be available depending on the season.
Can we order prints and wall art?
Yes. I provide professional print recommendations and can help you select sizes and finishes that suit your space.

Client Portal + Questionnaire
If accepted, you’ll receive access to a private client portal with a detailed questionnaire to help me understand your vision and goals.
Confirm The Plan
Once your questionnaire is completed, I’ll reach out to confirm location, timeline, and overall direction for the session.
Secure Your Date
Your contract, invoice, payment options, and style guides will be added to your client portal. A 20% retainer is required to officially reserve your session date.
