Every pixel in a photograph carries data. The Pictometric series turns that data into design — taking the colors of the travel poster and turning them into a proportional graphic unique to that place.
On the front: the Louisiana Pictometric — a visual fingerprint built from the deep forest green of the Spanish moss, the warm amber of the bayou water catching afternoon light, and the muted grey-green of the cypress stands. On the back: the full Louisiana Bayou Moss vintage travel poster from The Postcards Collection — Louisiana — Where the Water Holds the Memory.
On the sleeve: the coordinates of the New Orleans bayou — 29.95088° N, 90.07585° W — marking the spot where the photograph behind this poster was taken. That original photograph is also available separately as a fine art print.
Inside the neck: a custom New Orleans postage stamp, the quiet detail that ties every piece in The Postcards Collection back to the place that inspired it.
