Every pixel in a photograph carries data. The Pictometric series turns that data into design — taking the colors of the travel poster and turning them into a proportional graphic unique to that place.
On the front: the Massachusetts Pictometric — a visual fingerprint built from the deep barn red of Motif #1 against the grey-blue of Rockport Harbor, the weathered wood of the docks, and the crisp New England sky above. On the back: the full Rockport Motif No.1 vintage travel poster from The Postcards Collection — Rockport, Massachusetts — The Most Painted Building in America.
On the sleeve: the GPS coordinates of Rockport Harbor, marking the spot where the photograph behind this poster was taken. That original photograph is also available separately as a fine art print.
Inside the neck: a custom Rockport postage stamp, the quiet detail that ties every piece in The Postcards Collection back to the place that inspired it.
