A New Way to See a Place
Every pixel in a photograph carries data. The Pictometric series turns that data into design — taking the colors of the travel poster and turning them into a proportional graphic unique to that place.
On the front: the Taiwan Pictometric — a visual fingerprint built from the deep blue-teal of the night sky over Taipei 101, the dark brown and charcoal of the street-level shophouses, and the warm gold of the lantern light along the lane, with thin green and teal accent lines. On the back: the full Taipei 101 vintage travel poster from The Postcards Collection — Taipei, Taiwan — Night Markets and Neon Lights.
On the sleeve: the GPS coordinates of Taipei, marking the spot where the photograph behind this poster was taken. That original photograph is also available separately as a fine art print.
Inside the neck: a custom Taipei postage stamp, the quiet detail that ties every piece in The Postcards Collection back to the place that inspired it.
