Description
A New Way to See a Place
Every pixel in a photograph carries data. The Pictometric series turns that data into design — taking the colors of the travel poster and turning them into a proportional graphic unique to that place.
On the front: the Denmark Pictometric — a visual fingerprint built from the warm ochres and deep reds of the Nyhavn canal houses reflected in the still water, the pale Nordic sky above the rooftops, and the cool grey of the stone quay along the water’s edge. On the back: the full Nyhavn Copenhagen vintage travel poster from The Postcards Collection — Copenhagen, Denmark — Where Beauty Looks Effortless.
On the sleeve: the coordinates of Nyhavn — 55.67964° N, 12.59130° E — marking the spot where the photograph behind this poster was taken. That original photograph is also available separately as a fine art print.
Inside the neck: a custom Copenhagen postage stamp, the quiet detail that ties every piece in The Postcards Collection back to the place that inspired it.
No two destinations produce the same Pictometric. This one is Denmark.
