A New Way to See a Place
Every pixel in a photograph carries data. The Pictometric series turns that data into design — analyzing the color and tone distribution of the Washington destination image and rendering it as a proportional graphic unique to that place.
On the front: the Washington Pictometric — a visual fingerprint built from the vivid purples and pinks of the subalpine wildflowers, the glacial white of the Rainier snowpack, and the deep forest green of the fir stands. On the back: the full Mount Rainier Paradise vintage travel poster from The Postcards Collection — Mount Rainier National Park, Washington — Where the Mountain Meets the Meadow.
