Description
A New Way to See a Place
Every pixel in a photograph carries data. The Pictometric series turns that data into design — taking the colors of the travel poster and turning them into a proportional graphic unique to that place.
On the front: the Rome Pictometric — a visual fingerprint built from the warm golden ochre of the Colosseum travertine stone in afternoon sun, the deep terracotta of the ancient brick courses below the arches, and the rich Mediterranean blue of the Roman sky above. On the back: the full Colosseum Roman Forum vintage travel poster from The Postcards Collection — Rome, Italy — Antiquity and Daily Life on the Same Sidewalk.
On the sleeve: the GPS coordinates of the Colosseum, marking the spot where the photograph behind this poster was taken. That original photograph is also available separately as a fine art print.
Inside the neck: a custom Rome postage stamp, the quiet detail that ties every piece in The Postcards Collection back to the place that inspired it.
No two destinations produce the same Pictometric. This one is Rome.
