Held in Fog – Signed Limited Edition Print + Certificate

Price range: $450.00 through $3,000.00

The fog came in and took the far trees out of the picture for me.

Released in three independently numbered formats: 12 archival paper prints, 6 float-framed metal prints, and a single acrylic face-mount. Every piece is signed, numbered, and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity naming its format and number. Paper is Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308 gsm, a 100% cotton archival stock with a smooth matte finish; the framed metal is a 24 × 36 print set in a solid-wood float frame chosen to suit the image; the acrylic is a 36 × 48 face-mount on DiBond. When a format sells out, it is not reprinted.

What makes it a limited edition — paper, numbering, the certificate, and why the acrylic is always one of one.

Description

This foggy forest fine art print captures a quiet stand of evergreen trees disappearing into dense mountain mist in the Alaskan wilderness. Layers of forest fade gently into the fog, creating a natural gradient of silhouettes that soften the landscape into subtle shapes and tones.

In Held in Fog, the trees emerge from the lower frame with quiet clarity before dissolving upward into the pale grey atmosphere. The fog transforms the forest into a study of depth and stillness, where each layer of trees becomes slightly more distant and abstract than the last.

Photographed deep within Alaska’s coastal forests, the scene reflects the wild, untamed character of the northern landscape. Low clouds often settle among the trees in these remote regions, briefly reshaping the forest into something more contemplative. The mist removes visual noise, allowing the viewer to focus on the quiet rhythm of the forest canopy and the calm atmosphere surrounding it.

Printed as a museum-quality archival photograph, Held in Fog brings a sense of calm and natural stillness into interior spaces. The subdued tones and layered composition make it particularly suited for collectors drawn to minimalist landscapes and the quiet beauty of wilderness environments.
