Artist Statement
Photography, for me, is a practice of attention.
Whether I am standing on a quiet ridgeline waiting for the light to shift or guiding a family through a portrait session, the goal is the same—to create images that feel honest, calm, and lasting.
My work moves between two worlds: fine-art landscape photography and commissioned portrait work, both rooted in the same philosophy of patience, craft, and presence.
Intent • Craft • Place
A practice of patience and presence
My work begins with walking—returning to the same ridgelines, shorelines, and desert basins until the landscape feels less like a subject and more like a conversation.
That same patience shapes how I photograph people.
Whether documenting a wedding day or creating a family portrait, I approach each session with the same quiet attention to light, environment, and authentic moments.
Photography, to me, is not about spectacle. It’s about noticing.
I want the photograph to feel like a pause—an invitation to slow down and notice what is already there.
Preston Ferguson
In the studio, printing becomes an extension of seeing.
I work with archival papers chosen for their depth and surface character, refining tonal transitions carefully so the final print carries the same quiet authority as the landscape itself.
Each limited edition is produced in small quantities, signed, and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity—ensuring both the longevity of the print and the integrity of the work.
Alongside these editions, I also create commissioned photographs for clients—families, couples, portraits, and special events—bringing the same attention to craft and atmosphere into the moments that define people’s lives.
What guides the work
Place as memory. Landscapes become personal when we live with them—prints are a way of keeping that relationship close.
Craft as respect. Archival materials, careful proofing, and consistent editing are how I honor both the image and the collector.
Connection over posing. When photographing people, the goal is not perfection but authenticity—images that feel natural and timeless.

Meet Your Photographer
I’ve had a camera in my hands since I was a teenager growing up in Texas, and over the years that early curiosity turned into a steady practice of learning the craft—returning again and again to light, landscape, and the quiet discipline of making photographs. After years of refining the work, this moment feels like the next step in that journey, and I’m excited for the opportunity to create photographs that will live with you for years to come.
