Every pixel in a photograph carries data. The Pictometric series turns that data into design — taking the colors of the travel poster and turning them into a proportional graphic unique to that place.
On the front: the Washington Pictometric — a visual fingerprint built from the vivid purples and pinks of the subalpine wildflowers, the glacial white of the Rainier snowpack, and the deep forest green of the fir stands. On the back: the full Mount Rainier Paradise vintage travel poster from The Postcards Collection — Mount Rainier National Park, Washington — Where the Mountain Meets the Meadow.
On the sleeve: the coordinates of Lower Lewis River Falls — 46.15468° N, 121.87970° W — marking the spot where the photograph behind this poster was taken. That original photograph is also available separately as a fine art print.
Inside the neck: a custom Mount Rainier postage stamp, the quiet detail that ties every piece in The Postcards Collection back to the place that inspired it.
