A New Way to See a Place
Every pixel in a photograph carries data. The Pictometric series turns that data into design — taking the colors of the travel poster and turning them into a proportional graphic unique to that place.
On the front: the South Korea Pictometric — a visual fingerprint built from the deep teal of the Gyeongbokgung Palace rooflines against the warm gold of the palace walls, the dark green of the surrounding pines, and the thin gold and crimson accent lines of the traditional dancheong trim. On the back: the full Gyeongbokgung Palace vintage travel poster from The Postcards Collection — Seoul, South Korea — Where History Lives.
On the sleeve: the coordinates of Gyeongbokgung Palace — 37.57960° N, 126.97703° E — marking the spot where the photograph behind this poster was taken. That original photograph is also available separately as a fine art print.
Inside the neck: a custom Seoul postage stamp, the quiet detail that ties every piece in The Postcards Collection back to the place that inspired it.
