Every pixel in a photograph carries data. The Pictometric series turns that data into design — taking the colors of the travel poster and turning them into a proportional graphic unique to that place.
On the front: the San Diego Pictometric — a visual fingerprint built from the warm terracotta and Spanish white of the Coronado architecture, the deep Pacific blue of the bay, and the gold of the afternoon light over the water. On the back: the full Coronado Bay vintage travel poster from The Postcards Collection — San Diego, California — Pacific Sun and Coastal Light.
On the sleeve: the coordinates of Coronado — 32.71570° N, 117.16110° W — marking the spot where the photograph behind this poster was taken. That original photograph is also available separately as a fine art print.
Inside the neck: a custom San Diego postage stamp, the quiet detail that ties every piece in The Postcards Collection back to the place that inspired it.
