Description
A New Way to See a Place
Every pixel in a photograph carries data. The Pictometric series turns that data into design — taking the colors of the travel poster and turning them into a proportional graphic unique to that place.
On the front: the New York Pictometric — a visual fingerprint built from the steel blue of the East River at twilight, the warm amber of the city lights reflected on the water, and the deep grey of the bridge towers cutting the horizon. On the back: the full Manhattan Bridge Blue Hour vintage travel poster from The Postcards Collection — New York, New York — Where the Bridge Meets the Skyline.
On the sleeve: the GPS coordinates of the Manhattan Bridge, marking the spot where the photograph behind this poster was taken. That original photograph is also available separately as a fine art print.
Inside the neck: a custom New York postage stamp, the quiet detail that ties every piece in The Postcards Collection back to the place that inspired it.
No two destinations produce the same Pictometric. This one is New York.
