Description
A New Way to See a Place
Every pixel in a photograph carries data. The Pictometric series turns that data into design — analyzing the color and tone distribution of the New York destination image and rendering it as a proportional graphic unique to that place.
On the front: the New York Pictometric — a visual fingerprint built from the steel blue of the East River at twilight, the warm amber of the city lights reflected on the water, and the deep grey of the bridge towers cutting the horizon. On the back: the full Manhattan Bridge Blue Hour vintage travel poster from The Postcards Collection — New York, New York — Where the Bridge Meets the Skyline.
No two destinations produce the same Pictometric. This one is New York.
