Every pixel in a photograph carries data. The Pictometric series turns that data into design — analyzing the color and tone distribution of the New York destination image and rendering it as a proportional graphic unique to that place.

On the front: the New York Pictometric — a visual fingerprint built from the steel blue of the East River at twilight, the warm amber of the city lights reflected on the water, and the deep grey of the bridge towers cutting the horizon.
