Every pixel in a photograph carries data. The Pictometric series turns that data into design — taking the colors of the travel poster and turning them into a proportional graphic unique to that place.
On the front: the Germany Pictometric — a visual fingerprint built from the pale white and grey stone of the Neuschwanstein towers and turrets, the deep forest green of the Bavarian spruce below, and the soft blue-grey of the Alpine mist surrounding the mountain setting. On the back: the full Neuschwanstein Bavaria vintage travel poster from The Postcards Collection — Bavaria, Germany — The Castle Built for a Dream.
On the sleeve: the coordinates of Neuschwanstein Castle — 47.55757° N, 10.74979° E — marking the spot where the photograph behind this poster was taken. That original photograph is also available separately as a fine art print.
Inside the neck: a custom Bavaria postage stamp, the quiet detail that ties every piece in The Postcards Collection back to the place that inspired it.
