Every pixel in a photograph carries data. The Pictometric series turns that data into design — taking the colors of the travel poster and turning them into a proportional graphic unique to that place.
On the front: the England Pictometric — a visual fingerprint built from the warm amber glow of the Tower Bridge towers at night, the deep midnight blue of the Thames below, and the streaks of red and white light from passing traffic tracing the city’s movement. On the back: the full Tower Bridge Thames Night vintage travel poster from The Postcards Collection — London, England — Victorian Towers and the Pulse of the City.
On the sleeve: the coordinates of Tower Bridge — 51.50544° N, 0.07540° W — marking the spot where the photograph behind this poster was taken. That original photograph is also available separately as a fine art print.
Inside the neck: a custom London postage stamp, the quiet detail that ties every piece in The Postcards Collection back to the place that inspired it.
